Give...a Few Words.
Brochure, posters, leaflets.
Client:
Give..A Few Words came about due to the overwhelming kindness of many people who came forward to help when many care home residents were facing isolation unable to see any of their family or friends.
The idea of a positive “one off” letter writing project was born and the response has been phenomenal. Give…A Few Words came to be as a not for profit (Community Interest Company) in March 2021. We now post thousands of individual letters, arts and crafts in #Gift of letter packs for others.
Our positive post reaches many residents in care homes, those involved with charity and voluntary organisations and others in the community. People who may be isolated, having a tough time or may just need a wellbeing boost.
Many young people are also involved from schools, colleges, uniformed groups and the Duke of Edinburgh project and university students. We also have incredible writing clubs, businesses and other charities all supporting what we do.

When I began collaborating with Sharron from Give…A Few Words, I quickly connected with the company’s values and mission. With my own father residing in a care home, I witness first-hand the reality that many residents face — having few, if any, visitors. The thought of such isolation is deeply moving and highlights the importance of community and connection.
I have the privilege of working closely with Sharron to design various materials, including brochures, leaflets, and posters, that help share her organisation's vision.
One of our key projects each year is the creation of the Love & Cheer brochure. This publication is a heartfelt collection of letters, testimonials, and photographs from contributors around the globe. Volunteers share stories of finding joy in life’s simplest pleasures — be it a walk in nature, a meaningful conversation, a favourite book, or a cherished song. These moments remind us of the profound beauty in everyday experiences.
Through the #Gift of letters, recipients hear voices from all corners of the world, fostering a sense of unity and connection. This shared humanity brings people together, reminding us all of the importance of kindness in our lives.
